The IGERT Training Program

All IGERT students are enrolled in one of the six participating PhD programs at Brandeis: Molecular and Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Biophysics and Structural Biology, Physics, and Chemistry and are expected to meet all of the requirements of their programs. IGERT students are expected to take one or more computational or modeling courses, relevant to their interests, and will carry out a Broader Impact program.

A variety of courses at Brandeis integrate approaches from Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Chemistry into the study of biological processes.  IGERT students may be particularly interested in the following courses:

NPHY 115a Dynamical Systems, Chaos, and Fractals
NBIO 136b Computational Neuroscience
NPSY 137b Cognitive Modeling
QBIO 110a Numerical Modeling of Biological Systems
QBIO 120b Quantitative Biology Instrumentation Laboratory
