Most students in the Biochemistry Graduate Program come
from undergraduate backgrounds in Chemistry, Biochemistry,
or Biology. In general, students have typically taken organic
and physical chemistry, calculus, and physics, and have
had some exposure to cell biology and more advanced topics
in biology. These areas do not represent formal application
requirements, but knowledge in these areas will be called
upon during the Ph.D. program.
