A note from GMD: Mike had very grand plans for his part of this
site, but very little time (finishing a degree
and heading off to a postdoc). So I've taken it over, eradicating the links
to nowhere and in general spiffing it
up. It's not what he'd hoped for, but there is some useful information worthy
of staying a part of the site.
