The total amount of funds in direct costs awarded for the year 2002-2003 by this group is about $9,000,000. The whole of the 50 laboratories involved in Life Sciences has been awarded about $16,000,000 in direct costs in the past year. These funds are obtained on a competitive basis and are a mark of the quality of the research effort at Brandeis.
