This website is designed to facilitate the identification of some common water-loving plants found in Massachusetts.  Species listed include plants found at the water’s edge as well as plants found in the water itself.  Habitats covered include bogs, rivers, ponds, swamps, marshes, and other wetlands.

Rooted onshore, submerged roots; emergent body, and floating on surface.

Choose from a list of fauna including:
Trees, shrubs, and non-woody plants.

 names to access more information on a specific species.
