Fronds:

  • One root per frond attached at middle of underside
  • Round to oval
  • 0.2-0.4 cm long (0.1-0.2 inches)
  • Green and floating in groups

Flowers and Fruit:

  • Flowers rare, male or female, tiny reproductive pouches on margins
  • Fruit are one-seeded utricles appearing July-Sept
