Welcome to Jill and Olivia's guide to deciduous trees of the Northeast!

The trees you will find in this website are all trees that we have encountered on field excursions in Massachusetts for our Field Biology class at Brandeis University. The photos were all taken by Olivia Siegel during late summer and fall of 2005 (except where noted).

There are various ways that you can navigate our website. Information on all the search options can be found on the search page. If you know the common or scientific name you can search directly in a list. You can also look through thumbnails of species by family. If at any time you find yourself confused, check out our glossary or our help page.

If you'd like to learn more about who we are and how this website came about, check out our about us page. To see a list of sources for the information found in this website, please go to the acknowledgements page. Also on this page you’ll find links to other similar websites and associated groups.
