Description

Cap: 2.5-10 cm (1-4") wide. Sticky, blunt, becoming convex with knob or nearly flat. Margin with veil remnants. Dry, down curled or pointed orange-brown scales


Gills:
Close, narrow, adnate, yellow.

Stalk: Firm, solid, cylinderic, scaly, dry. Off-white.

Spore print: Brown.
