Bright orange, shallow cup or flat like disk.


Description

Cup: 2-10cm (3/4-4") wide. Saucer to shallow cup shape. Outer surface pale white to orange-yellow, sometimes covered with minute hairs. Inner surface bright orange fading to orange-yellow.

 

Flesh: Brittle.

Habitat and Range

In groups or clusters. Found on hard soil, disturbed soil, newly planted lawns, and landslides. Throughout North America.

Season

May-October.
