Gall maker: Eriophyes sp. a gall mite (Class Arachnida, Order Acari, Family Eriophyidae).

Shape and Size: "Pouch galls" of variable sizes; may be round or hemispherical or tubular.

Location: Top-side of Prunus leaves.

Color: Usually light green, clearly formed of leaf matter.

Eriophyes are known to produce pouch galls of various shapes on the leaves of cherries, beeches, and plums.
