FIELD GUIDE TO SHRUBS

Rosebay Rhododendron
Welcome to Ben Paquette and Omri Ayalon’s Electronic Field Guide to Shrubs for our Field Biology course at Brandeis University!

Our semester project is to become experts on shrubs and to create an interactive field guide employing pictures and text to help viewers identify and learn about shrubs. We have identified and photographed shrubs in our surroundings and are excited about sharing our findings with you. The shrubs of this site were identified in the following locations: Brandeis University campus, Sachar Woods, Beaver Creek Park in Belmont, and the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University in Jamaica Plain.

Please refer to the navigation bar found on every page of the website to get around. There, you will find links enabling you to search species by common or scientific name, compare two known species, identify a specimen, define a term in the glossary, and get help. Also, check out our About the Creators page to learn about us and the sources we used.

Enjoy!
