Practical Plants - Sponge

Surprisingly, a sponge can be a useful tool for many camping episodes. One such scenario is unwanted rain water in your tent/shelter that you’d like to clean out.
Sphagnum moss is a perfect substitute for a sponge! During World War I the British Army surgeons used sphagnum moss in replacement of cotton for surgical dressings. The plant owes its fame in early twenties to its ability to soak up enormous amounts of water.
