Description:
The carapace is yellow to brown, with darker blotches, and a lighter stripe along the sides. The abdomen is gray or brown, chevrons near the back, and broad light colored spots near the front. Length of female 3-3.5 mm; of male 2.5-3 mm.

Habitat:
Debris on the ground in temperate wooded areas.

Behavior:
Agelenidae spin a fairly flat sheet of web with a tube or funnel (see picture) coming off one edge. The spider waits inside the funnel until vibrations caused by trapped prey are felt. The spider crosses the web, bites its prey, and brings it back to the funnel.
