Bark of Ashleaf Maple


The only maple with pinnately* compound* leaves. Leaves appear oppositely*; usually 3 to 5 leaflets* per leaf. Each leaflet can have several coarse teeth*, with the end leaflet often somewhat lobed* with three discernable tips. Leaflets hairless, dull.
