The Crab Spiders

Genus: Misumenops
Species: asperatus
This spider is found in grass and foliage.
This spider was originally green but faded to this yellow once it was dead. The body and legs have short stiff hairs on them. Notice the brown markings on its thorax (the two longitudinal stripes) and on the abdomen.
You can see the short hairs bettter here. You can also see the spaced out small eyes. The chelicerae are not that pronounced in this species.
LENGTH: Females: 4.4-6mm Males: 3-4
LOCATION: Eastern United States and southern Canada to Arizona and north to Alberta.
