Scientific Name: Russula emetica

Habitat: Grows singly or in small groups, lives in moist areas, moss or rotten wood. in wetlands under mixed woods or conifers.

Color: Cap is reddish, stalk and gills are white/off white.

Size:Cap is 3.5-18 cm diameter, stalk is 2.5-12.5 cm long1-4.5cm thick.

Gills: Attached, range from very close to distant, narrow to broad.

Spore Print: White

Edibility: Not safe, occasionally poisonous
