Habitat: on fallen leaves and twigs

Color:Cap brown, gills white, stalk brown

Size: Cap is 2.5-5 cm in diameter, stalk is 5-10 cm long, 1.5-5 mm thick

Gills: Free, narrow, crowded.

Spore Print: white to cream

Edibility: Edible with caution

Characteristics: Cap is convex with an incurved margin, wavy at ends. The stalk has dense white hairs. It lives from July to November, and its range is north into Quebec, south to the Carolinas
