Description
Medium-sized tree 12.2-21.3 meters (40-70ft) in height with opposite compound leaves arranged in 3-5 leaflets. Leaflets are coarsely toothed or non-toothed. Fruits are paired, maple-like keys.

Location
Found along rivers and in fertile wooded areas. Ranges throughout the United States and Southern Canada.

Bark
Inner Bark tea is emetic.

Sap
Sap may be boiled down into a sugary, edible, viscous liquid.
