Juniperus spp.

The genus Juniperus contains the shrub-like Juniper bushes and the tree-like Eastern Red Cedar. The Eastern Red Cedar is actually not a cedar at all, but is so named because of the tendency of its wood to be fragrant and slow to decay. Click on either species for more information.
