Red Pine

Pinus resinosa

The pines are a group of trees with needles in bundles of between two and five. These bundles are arranged spirally around the twigs. The cones of pine trees usually have hard cone scales in contrast to spruce cone scales which are usually softer. Click on any of the surrounding pines for more information about individual species.
