FAQs

Q.
I submitted my application before the deadline of January 1. Will it be reviewed earlier?
A.
Maybe. However, the entire pool of applicants need to be reviewed and evaluated prior to selecting those we will invite to campus for interviews.
Q.
If I submitted my application but am taking a prerequisite course during the spring semester, will this exclude me from being invited to interview?
A.
No. However, please make sure you email Missy Goldberg the Program Administrator, goldberg@brandeis.edu, to let us know you registered for the class. If an invitation to interview is issued, it is likely that we’ll request contact information for the instructor in order to gauge your academic standing in that class.
Q.
How many applicants will you interview?
A.
We have 54 slots for on campus interviews.
Q.
If I get invited for an interview, will I get to choose the date I come to campus?
A.
Yes. Invitations will include a list of dates. Applicants will be asked to provide the Administrator with their top three choices and will be scheduled on one of those dates.
Q.
How long should I expect to be at Brandeis on my interview date?
A.

It depends. All interviewees will have:

  • Group orientation
  • One on one meetings with the three members of the leadership team
  • Time to meet with students and speak with them informally

Optional activities include:

  • sitting in on a class
  • meeting with the Financial Aid office
  • meeting with the International Students and Scholars office

Interviewees should plan to be here at least half a day. Exact details (including classes to sit in on, directions, etc.) will be sent by the Administrator with the confirmation of interview date.
