Role of p35 in Arp2/3 complex function

Karen graduated from the California Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Biology in 2002. Then, for some reason, she left sunny Pasadena for cold, wet Boston to join the Ph.D. program in Biochemistry in fall 2002. Her work is aimed at defining the functional surfaces and mechanism of action of the p35 subunit of Arp2/3 complex. In her spare time, Karen eats a lot of chocolate, watches cartoons and sleeps in as often as possible.
