Grand Rounds and Outside Talks

Students are required to attend 2 Grand Rounds presentations or Neurobiology of Disease-related talks. These may be talks held at Brandeis, or at neighboring hospitals, medical schools or Universities. (They may be outside the Boston area if you can get there). Lists of Boston Area Grand Rounds and other talks will be made available on the web site.

Some listings of area talks are available at:

Before attending the talk read at least one research article or review article by the person speaking (if possible on the topic or a closely related topic). If you cannot find an article by the speaker find an article by another author on a closely related topic. After attending the talk, write a log entry summarizing the talk and your reaction to it. Prior to the end of the course you must hand in these paragraphs together with information on the speakers, titles, locations, dates and times and the citations for the papers you read. Since you will be an outside guest at these talks/presentation please try to be courteous. Do not disrupt the presentation by entering late or leaving early.
