| I recently joined the Sengupta
laboratory in May 2007. Before starting graduate school at Brandeis University, I worked for the City of New York in a forensic biology laboratory (NYC OCME). While it was certainly exciting, I knew I wanted to return to academia. I joined the Sengupta laboratory because I wanted to work with C. elegans (worms!) and do both biochemistry and microscopy. I am interested in better understanding the mechanisms of intraflagellar transport using biochemical approaches and forward and reverse genetics. I am particularly interested in understanding how cell specific cilia structures are generated. |
