Griffith & Jeff Hall
Dr. Hall is a behavioral
geneticist and was the first to characterize plasticity in Drosophila
courtship behavior. Dr. Griffith, who studies learning and memory,
uses this behavior as an end assay for flies with alterations in signal
transduction pathways.
Dr. Hall and Dr. Griffith
have recently obtained funding from the McKnight Foundation to develop
a system to study the activation of signal transduction pathways in
real-time in behaving animals. This project uses molecular technology
developed in the Griffith lab and imaging technology developed in
the Hall lab for use in monitoring individual fly locomotor rhythms.
