I'm coming at Linux as someone who used Unix (mostly IRIX) at work and Windows at home. Maintenance of a Unix/Linux machine requires a superset of the skills needed to simply use it.
I'll probably be making analogies to Windows that will make Unix die-hards cringe. I don't care. I think I used the gender-neutral "he/she" in one place, but I'll probably use the masculine pronoun mostly.
I'm going to assume for now a rudimentary knowledge of Unix commands. When I have time someday, which I won't, I'll may start with something even more basic. While I'm pretending what I'd do with infinite time, maybe I'll include some screenshots someday too.
